Bubbles and Flash Hit the Road - Vegas Style!

This is Adventure number Two.

Adventure One - The Adventures of Bubbles and Flash!

Adventure Three - Bubbles and Flash see America!

Bubbles was just sitting around after a tough day house cleaning. By house I mean she was home and by cleaning I mean she was having a margarita.. when she got a happy surprise phone call!

"Ringggg.. Ringggg"

"Bubbles, this is Flash!" Yeah!!! "I get my vacation next week, I've got 3 lunch bags of quarters saved up, and enough rum to fuel a aircraft carrier - I can be packed in 2 hours, are you ready to roll?"

Did I mention that Bubbles and Flash had been through Girl Scouts together and had taken the motto "Be Prepared" to heart. It was their life-long creed. They were born ready!

Flash came to Bubbles' home, loaded all their 'necessities' in the car. Bubbles had her new convertible. They tied up their hair, donned their sunglasses and dropped their top (of the car.)

"Do you remember the trucker with the 'Hump' sign?" asks Flash. "Heck yes!" "I brought one of our own!" "You did not! Say you did not!" "I so did!" Digging in the back seat, she came out with a folded cardboard sign "HUMP". "Well geez Flash - you are all prepared" "Yep!" That Flash, memory like an elephant! Flash is also good with maps. This is handy because Bubbles can get lost in an elevator.

Bubble's phone rings. "Hm.Hm.Uhhuh. Well, Oh, heck yes! Be there in a jif sweetie, you need this more than we do!" Flash is concerned. "That was Loopie. She's feeling blue. She's coming with us!" "YEAH!" Bubbles and Flash adore Loopie... and Loopie is all happy cuz after her motorcycle mishap she now has a cool new nickname! It was fun sitting with her after her accident. She was all medicated and watching TV kinda listing at a 2 o'clock position. She was more fun to watch than the TV!

This adventure could really heat up!

Loops is packed and standing on the curb. Loops hadn't wasted anytime..appears she's been packed for a month! "Jump in girl!" Oh, she's already in! Boy that's a tiny back seat, but Loops thinks it's a luxury lounge and has her feet on the trunk! "There's more than enough room for me back here" "Well just the same we're going to rotate seats so everyone can sit back there" "Flash did you ever learn to drive a stick?" "A what?" "Alrighty then..Off we go!"

"To Vegas! The city that never sleeps. The city of lights, of gambling, of.. yes Flash?" "ELVIS." "ELVIS, Woo Hoo! of course!" "Conway Twitty!" "What's that Loops?" "Conway Twitty. I want to see him." "Well if he's in town we'll go see Conrad!" "Conway" "Are you sure?" "Conway" "ELVIS!!!" "I believe they're both dead." "Oh, don't even joke about a thing like that!".

The girls took a lot of pictures on this adventure. Join us!

Here's the sign welcoming the girls! "How did they know to put up a sign for us?" Loops, are you still medicated? She thinks it's just for us! Bless her heart!! She's a peach!

They didn't need to tell the girls Las Vegas is 'fabulous!'  They are sooooo excited!

The hotel brochure showed there was a lake nearby. The girls donned their new swimsuits. You can't bring an old one, no siree!

Look at us splashing and having so much fun!  That's Bubbles in the two piece! OohLaLa! Bubbles took French in Jr. Hi and that's all she remembers!

As long as we're here Loops suggests they try to get into a show.  After all, how hard could it be? Well Bubbles forgot to tell them she can't sing her way out of a paper bag..but she can lip-sync!

Well the last one didn't work out too well, so they're going to try try again. We girls are just troopers! Golly!

Here we are at the Flamingo. Flash kept stepping on Loop's toes. This isn't working out well at all, but heck, we're having a great time! Bubbles got a leg cramp half way through the audition. Figures.

"And kick, two, three, four..."

"Owwww!.. Flash!  Sheesh!"

Elvis! Can you believe it??? "Oh my gosh Oh my gosh!" Flash has met Elvis. THE Elvis!  Isn't he just the coolest thing ever?!  They make such a stunning pair don't you think?  She kept trying to hold his hand.  That Flash, what are we gonna do with her?

He wanted to take her out for dinner, then she said she had two friends, could he line up dates for them? Elvis was such a sweetie and he sure did! Look at these hunks would ya!! SCORE!!!

Tonight was for Loopie. She wanted to meet Conway Twitty. She's a little bit country. Flash is a little bit rock and roll!

Bubbles caught Loopie getting ready.. oooh she was so mad! We all fell over laughing!  Loopes, you put your shoe on after you put on your hose!  That girl's a peach!

Could this trip get just anymore perfect? Loops met Conway! He heard her singing in the lobby and asked her to join him in his after noon show! How great is this! Look at that dress! It is so tight she had trouble sitting down. We should just call her "swivel hips." 

Cool lighting! Made her look like a blonde - which she isn't!

Oh, man, now Loops is calling him "C." Well it is shorter! He invited his sister to join us. At least he said it was his sister. They seemed very close. Maybe a little too close. Bubbles and Flash didn't want to spoil the afternoon by saying anything.  Then the 'sister' got mad and left! Whoo Boy!  After that "C" was an excellent host. He was so attentive to everything Loopie needed!

If Flash doesn't get out of that pool soon she's gonna be a prune!

There goes Bubbles mugging for the camera. She's been taking so many pictures of this trip, it's about time she got in one!

At least this is what she's telling everyone. He did seem, um, a little "over the moon" for her. That would just be the greatest thing ever to have a song written for Loopie.  I'll bet it broke his heart when she told him she couldn't stay!

Well girls this is our last night and boy did we do it up right! We found the gals from the Flamingo and they asked us to join them!

I swear we danced all night. You should have seen Flash put back the rum and cokes. I swear that girl should go to AA! Loopie twirled all night, that girl can swing like nobody's business! I don't think we got back to the hotel till 4 am!  I need to stop saying "swear".  I got it from Flash.  She's says it all the time, I swear!

Well this trip has come to a close.

The girls packed in a whole lot o'fun. Flash is still swooning over Elvis. Loops is sulking in the back seat. She really fell for "C". She'll be back to her old happy self soon enough!

"It is just so gosh darned nice they put out a sign to tell us good bye!" Ah, loops.. what can I say? She's a peach!

"Yes it was Loops!" We made a big splash in that little town!
